The Waiata Mai Series made it’s debut at the end of 2014. The specific aim of Waiata Mai as a Māori language resource was (and still is) to provide the building blocks of conversation for children at home and kura. This was to be achieved by delivering set structures – with one line in te reo Māori and the pursuant line in English. As of 2019 there is still nothing quite like this series. It is made for a 0-4 age group and for inspiration draws on both the Hap Palmer and Sesame St music series’ featuring children in activity.  If you want to learn te reo Māori alongside your children, this is one of the easiest, no-effort-needed ways you can do it.
